Let me cut right to the chase…the fat loss strategy you may be missing is: strength training.

When it comes to reaching a healthy body composition—read: not obsessed with leanness and 6-packs—eating nutrient-dense food, getting enough sleep and managing your stress are extremely important.

But once those ducks are all in a row, the thing that’s often missing in a solid fat loss strategy is increasing muscle mass through strength training.

Healthy movement can take many forms, and I’m a strong advocate for doing what you love, but there’s nothing that can substitute for lifting “heavy” weight via strength training when it comes to boosting fat loss.

“But Steph,” you might be saying, “I totally want to include some strength training in my routine, but I just don’t know how to get started.”

Such a common question, and luckily, I have a solution.

These free demo videos aren’t just for newbies. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love squats, but I don’t often bench press or deadlift.

Confession: Bench is something I’ve never been comfortable with, and deadlifts…well…they sort of intimidate me. And I’m a weightlifting coach!

I’ve watched these demo videos and they’re full of powerful pointers that made me feel a lot better about benching and deadlifting again.
