Meet Episode 43’s Guest, Erik Andress
I have to give Erik Andress a lot of credit.
Lots and lots of folks email me because they want to be on the podcast, and he’s one of two that was a complete stranger to me and earned an automatic yes because of his down-to-earth, authentic, enthusiastic nature. (The other is Maris Degener who was a guest on Ep 31.)
Erik’s a teacher, author, and podcaster who’s inspiring his students to reach for more and weather tough times with grace.
He struggled with disordered eating, depression and substance abuse for much of his life, but in 2009, he decided enough was enough and decided to integrate holistic care and physical fitness into his daily regimen. He got sober, quit cigarettes after smoking for 14 years, and lost over 100 pounds.
His mission in life is to help young people understand that it is their birthright to be amazing and that they have the tools to do so through the right nutrition, exercise and a transformational mindset.
Erik makes me want to be a better human, and I can’t wait for you to meet him.
